PRIME AZORES© is the most recent business unit of the Ciberaçores Group, founded in 1996 in
the city of Horta, island of Faial, Azores.
In these more than 25 years, as a result of a great capacity to adapt and its strategic vision, the
Group has diversified its activity, becoming one of the 100 largest private companies in the Azores,
with a turnover of more than 7 million euros, 50 employees and a presence on 8 of the 9 islands.
A pioneer in the Azorean web with the development of the Azores Portal, it is, since 2000, a partner
of (now) Altice Portugal, operating official MEO shops on the islands of Faial, Pico, São Jorge,
Flores, Santa Maria and Graciosa, and in Lagoa, Ribeira Grande and Arrifes, on São Miguel. The
commerce of telecommunications products and services is Ciberaçores’ core business.
Eight years ago, in 2015, the Ciberaçores Group began to take shape, with the entry into the fuel
sector, acquiring one of the two petrol stations in the city of Lagoa and signing a commercial
agreement with Repsol, which also extends to Ponta Delgada. The following year, in 2016, it was
the turn of the move to the island of Terceira, in partnership with the Azores’ largest business group,
Bensaude, extending its presence to São Sebastião, Angra do Heroísmo, and Cabo da Praia.
One of the Group’s new business verticals, the participation in Sun4Azores, follows the global trend
towards clean and renewable energies, underlining the importance of sustainability factors for the
preservation of the planet. Since 2022, the partnership with Sunenergy allows Ciberaçores to
indirectly contribute to connecting the Azores to the sun.
With the great development of tourism in the Azores since the liberalisation of air space in March
2015, the Group, through the PRIME AZORES rent-a-car, has implemented its investment plan in
the sector, which promises to become the most important pillar of the region’s economy.

Fuel Policy "pay only for what you actually consume". The full tank is bought in advance (at the maximum price in force in the Azores at the time of booking) and the difference is calculated according to the existing fuel level at the time of delivery (immediately checked and informed). This amount will be valued at the maximum price in force at check in (car delivery), deducted of a service tax of €5,00, being credited the eventual value in the same card that was used for the payment. This information will be sent to the customer's email address at the end of the rental.

Our customers avoid queues at airport stations by providing their identification documents (ID card for EU residents and passport for non-residents) and driving licence when booking, accompanied by a selfie to confirm their identity. On arrival at our central station or at one of our partners' accommodation, customers can use their smartphones to open the car that has been booked by means of a simple QR code. Nothing could be simpler and more efficient.
This service requires prior payment of the hire charge and fuel in full and subscription to our PACK ULTIMATE option. When you return the car, the fuel you have not used will be valued at the price in force on the respective day in the Azores (updated on the 1st day of each month), returned to the same card with which you made the payment, less a service charge of €5,00.
